i am running a 3500/282 and i curently have one short axle and one long. i am cosidering running equal lenghth axles but was corious about a intermediate shaft. ive seen grand am guys have to make a "adapter between the block and shaft but is there any bolt on set ups i could use?

the best way is to use a jackshaft setup from a 87 ish Beretta. (full res pic) http://www.3500z.com/60degree/3500V2.0%20261.jpg
you'll have to oval the holes on the housing to engine bracket but it's the only way to keep your intermediate shaft aligned. The stock Jbody one has an open shaft and can also be used but you'll have to take your time to align the shaft perfectly or you'll trash the diff. I know from experience.

Thats going to be the hard part... The 5-speed beretta guys have problems finding these in usable condition.
