  • higher comp pistons

We're rebuilding/building a high output high RPM NA 2.8 with the following mods:
Lots of head work - CC, 1.6 roller rockers, etc
Trueleo high flow intake and headers -thats us BTW
Custom grind Comp cams SBC street/strip profile cam
Plus other mods. Race balancing etc

I need some higher comp pistons -pref forged- 9.5:1 to 10.5:1. It seems no one is making them anymore wthout going to custom ones. Does anyone have anyone any NOS -NEW OLD STOCK or know of madufacture still making them?

We have a turbo 2.8 in our 86 Fiero GT this Norm Aps engine will go into our 87 Fiero

Well I want to show what can be done with our products on a 2.8 and especially want to build a higher RPM version and thus don't want to a longer stroke. I have two 2.8 blocks also. Dependng on the state of their engine and if they have other mods like 1.6 rockers etc, our customers get from 175-220 HP and higher RPMs with our intakes and headers. I want more power at higher RPMS, peek around 5.5 - 5.5 RPM

              Thanks
If the make everyonewait a year, no doubt not much good said about them! I will likely get mine form either wot-tech or http://www.campbellenterprises.com/custom_pistons.htm Both are priced in the $550+ range. With that Engle 509 lift cam I'll be using I just need to get them some more specs and will then place my order.

I still want to see a 3400 block with a 2.8 fwd crank (DIS), custom pistons, 3500 top end, cam and high compression. That would run high RPM. Basically a big bore short stroke motor. But you're sticking with the iron head, so that is not relevant. How high of RPM do you plan on running? One of the problems we run into is the input RPM of the transmission limiting what we can run as it won't shift above so many RPM... Also stock rods have an RPM limit of 7k.

                          16.0 1/4 mile when stock. Now ???

Manifold-back 2.5" SS Mandrel Exhaust. Hardware is SS too.

You are stuck with after market. Ross makes them.

If you are going to that expense, I agree that you should also use the 3.1 crank.
