  • 3.4 Polyurethane Motor Mounts

I know Energy Suspension makes a polyurethane insert to fit in the clam shell motor mount used on 2.8 S-10 pick ups. It requires grinding off the rivet heads, binding them with large cable ties until they are bolted in place.

Do any of you know of a company that produces the complete polyurethane clam shell type motormount? This will be used on a 3.4 crate engine in a special application that utilizes the stock engine mounting system.

    Thanks in advance

You want stock clam shell style or ones that will bolt in where the stock style was used?

    I'm running these

They are actually made for a v8 swap using the 2.8 mount adapters.

No problems at all with my blazer with a 3.4

They were actually easier to bolt in the s-series frame rail than factory style mounts.

Were you able to use the stock GM stamped steel mounts that actually bolt to the engine with these mounts? Do you notice much engine vibration with this system compared to the rubber clam shell? Looks a whole lot better then clam shells!

Bolted right in, Not much difference than any other poly mount. You can tell they aint rubber but they sure aint solid mounts.
