    hmm, thanks.

I'll have to figure out where i saw it. I know it's been a few years.

i think there was a TSB about the CCP solenoid creating false knock, but nothing about the valve springs....

alldata is saying there is only 1 engine related recall and it has to do with the harmonic balancer not being seated.

TSBs: whistling PCV/intake, weak serpentine belt, bad delphi EGR valves, flaky throttle position sensor, leaks from front AND rear main crankshaft seal, and last but not least, clogged injectors...

I also don't "recall" any recall with the valve springs.

Quick Google returned Nill as well.

Damn, I don't remember hearing anything like that. Could be a different spring supplier. Wouldn't surprise me any.

    started a topic 3500 recall?

    3500 recall?

I remember reading about 2005 3500's having a recall.. something about the valve springs and false knock. Am i crazy or is this true?

I ask because i'm reinstalling the stock springs on some 2005 3500 heads and noticed that they are slightly different than the ones that were on my '04 heads. They have a rough texture to the metal instead of being smooth like all the other Gen3 springs.

    Thanks
Working...
