First i'll tell you what im runnin and i suppose we can go from there.
91 3.1 Gen2--Stock Pistons, Crank, Rods, stock bottom end
Comp cams 260h---260 duration .440 lift
3400 heads-Comp 1.6 rockers, Comp 26986 Springs, 3500 valves
3400 LIM--
3500 upper
0.040" Camaro h/g's
Motor sees 6500 rpms max
Basically, all i need to know, is what is my safe working limit on what i can remove from the heads and make sure my valves stay straight, dont feel like putting grooves in my pistons. I know I know i should use pistons to raise compression, however, this motor just needs to get me into the 13's. After that its getting yanked and ill be dropping a 3500 in. Im upgrading everything and doing some port matching and polishing, but i dont want to risk spending money on this motor to not reach my goal. I have a wideband and egt, it has supporting mods for all this, i just want a little bit more. If anybody has any idea lmk please.
