heated 02 sensor compatability

I might need a new o2 sensor. I have a denso 4-wire, but I don't know the model number any more. I need to test it to make sure it's bad first.

(hesitation when I give it gas too fast, faint cough in exhaust ever second or two, runs same whether I have the maf plugged in or not. I've got some 3100 injectors and will be picking up a new maf tuesday.)

Anyway, I have a 234-4018 denso I got for my truck and didn't need, but I don't know if there's a difference in the calibration, voltage signal, etc.

Anyone know what heated o2 it is that works in an 89 2.8 f-body?

I have headers, and the single wires don't stay hot enough.

the signal is the same for most if not all of them. You just need to know the pinout so you can supply 12V to the heater, ground the 2 that need it and get the signal to the ECM.

Hi there!

I've used the AC AFS-74 (3-wire, mid-'90s 4.3 trucks) with good success.

Most NBs switch at 0.5V but some on the GMECM list have found ones that don't. Also, some aftermarket sensors (esp. Bosch) seem to have more reports of bad quality than OEM. I dodge those questions by buying AC. The potential cost difference isn't worth the headache.

I use only Delco ones as well, except for my wideband which uses a Bosch sensor.


the 4 wire that i have in my 91 cavalier is from a 2004 3500 V6, never had any problems with it.

Ok, I might just give it a try then. It's out of a 96 chevy 350 truck. If it's anywhere close to the other I used, my black wires are grounds, white 12v, blue signal.

I just want to pick up a plug for it though.
