Sorry about just jumping in here guys but tell me, I want to upgrade to the 1.6 rockers as well. I was wanting make sure when I do this my valve covers will clear, will I have any issues with that if I go with the 1.6 roller tip rockers? Other then the Fiero rocker covers, is there any after market valve covers for the iron head 3.4?

You won't have issues with the roller tip 1.6s. The only aftermarket option is chrome no names and ones from edelbrock. IMHO to help the leaking issues with valve covers the fiero ones are the best.87 3.4 4x4 blazer

Redline got back to my question
Geoff,
Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, our Motor Oils contain good ZDDP levels, sufficient protection for flat tappet cams so an additional additive wouldn’t be necessary.

Would this red line oil have any benefits on Hyd lifter motors? I have always ran Valvoline 10w 30. I am do for an oil change and have been debating what to run. All the oil company's have there sales pitch, but what really is a good daily driver oil, solid tappet or Hyd.?86 GMC S15 3.4

Redline Oil is about the best oil on the market. Only run it if you are going to take advantage of it. You can run extended drain intervals and filter changes. It will help protect your engine from wear better than standard oil. But if your are just going to put around town and get rid of your car in a couple of years and change your oil every 5000Kms the just use regular oil.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

That's just it, I drive 32 miles a day just to work, on the week ends its very common to take off on a 300 to 400 mile trip. Besides I like like to know if my oil is really as good as all the commercial hype or not. I hate to think I have to buy expensive oil to insure that, but so be it. Thanks.86 GMC S15 3.4

Back to the roller rockers, I have been on jegs and summits looking for 1.6 roller tip rockers for 3.4 iron head motor. I don't find anything that is just the stamped roller tip, I don't need to full rollers. Did I see where there is a V8 roller tip that will work? I am pretty certain stock 3.4 is 3/8 studs? Can I get some info from you gurus on where to get a set? I don't want to get the wrong thing and have to send them back.86 GMC S15 3.4

Or you can just buy the 10mm to 3/8" studs meant for this application.-Brad-

Comp Cams Pro Magnum Roller Rocker Arms, Comp cam web sight as well as WOT-Tech indicate I can bolt these directly on using my existing rocker studs, should I trust this info. I see comp cam has the kits for Iron head motors, for just under $250.00 don't really have that change right now, but I did see just the rockers for $125.00 WOT-TECH?86 GMC S15 3.4

I done a search for 60 degree v6 roller rockers, your sight came up, I didn't look at the date, but they were in a plastic bag, maybe they said crane on them? I went back and done the search again but couldn't find it. Wasn't trying to advertise, didn't mean to say something that was not true either, sorry. Just trying to find the correct parts.86 GMC S15 3.4
