here is where I am at with a hacked up 3500 UIM. I am now waiting for my heater core/intercooler to show up so I can have the bottom plate machined that will be welded onto this hacked up manifold.
I like where this is going, but your running a blower arent you? how are you going to have this look like a sleeper?
for a while I was going to attempt to put a 1995 riviera supercharger on my 2.8. I was going to do it similar to the ZR1 'vette charger, minus the intercooler. it seemed feasible to me.

is that yours or what your getting? cuz i'm holding my comment towards it
I am getting the hood, yes. It may not be the best looking option, but considering it will give me way more hood room and save me over $2000 on custom manifold work, I can sacrifice.
The car has the OSV front bumper, i have the entire kit but will probably not install it, because my car will be too low with the custom coilovers......
I like the hood. Clearance of a cowl, but without the sharp, square edges. It's nicely done in my opinion.

kinda reminds me of the eagle talons with the bulge in the hood for the turbo..... i think.
Everyone thinks they were for the turbos, but they weren't They were actually for the timing belt pulleys (that are around 5" diameter).

well, they are quite prominent, i would just go along and say that's the reason anyways, kinda like the "turbo bulge" hoods for the 3rd gen Firebirds, most of which never had turbos....
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

At least in the early 3rd gen birds that scoop was hooked up to the top of the air cleaner...
Well I paid extra to 2day the heater core got here just in time, literally 15 minutes before I left for Denver, opened the box. It was a bright shiny copper heater core. NOT THE ONE I ORDERED!!! Well, the manifold was dropped off at the fab shop anyways for final grinding, sizing up of bottom plate for milling (when the heater core shows up). My measurements were a little off since I had already dropped off the charger housing a couple weeks ago. Nothing that can't be worked around however. Overall plate thickness will be around 2" with the top and bottom plate. With a little over 5" for supercharger height it will be cutting it close even with the new hood!

That's why the heater core I ordered for my truck some time ago has never made it into the truck. The pic was one of those many finned aluminum cores, and when it got here it was a nasty coarse finned copper one... I should have started claiming false advertising or bait and switch.
