I considered the crate, but I don't really have the scratch right now. I even went so far as to look for only an engine block. That search has also come up empty. I know they aren't really abundant seeing how they only came in the Camaro for 2 years.
So now I have ruled out the 2.8 because it's from an 83 S10. I want to make a 3.1 or 3.2, so this block won't work. I was even thinking of rebuilding what i already have, but my engine just broke the 360K mile barrier and I don't know what else it might be able to take. While it doesnt' burn and oil and has a minor oil leak, I didnt think I could freshen it up and rely on it.

As for neo, I wish I could do alot of the work myself, but I have never rebuilt an engine before. I am very mechanically inclined and if I had a manual or something like that, then I would attempt the not too difficult things.

3 years the camaro and firebird came with a 3.4, 93, 94, and 95. Depending on your location I have a 1987 2.8 short block that needs to be rebuild I might part ways with. I'm keeping the 4x4 specific engine parts off it tho. I understand the issue with finding one tho, took me almost 2 years to find one. Everybody around here wanted too much for it cause it was an f-body engine and I guess that makes it special.
I'm not willing to deal with the headache of shipping it cause I've been burnt once shipping an engine.

I am more than willing to come and pick it up. I think we have spoken on S10forum before. I can come out and pick it up any weekend. I have looked and looked, but no 3.4's that are worth it or way too expensive. It's like finding the holy grail. But yes, if you want to part with it, then I definitely want it. That way I can still drive my truck and rebuild the engine as I go.

@betterthanyou- If either I find a block or neo sells me his engine, I would definitely buy that 3.1 crank from you.

Yep I'm the same one from over there and its the same engine I told you about. Right now still in process of pulling it if I can ever get the time and it's not raining. I'm prolly gonna take off work monday so if weather allows I'm gonna work on finishing getting it out.
