    If this is a road racing application, which I'm assuming it must be. You've gotta take the Quad 4 over the iron on iron v6... Even if weight wasn't an issue a near stock Quad is going to make a bitch out of a very modded 3.4 iron engine.

    Of the Quad 4s I know, almost all of them see 7k on a regular basis - so I'm guessing your corworker got some bad parts or bonered it up on his own like you mentioned.

    Now, if you want to get crazy and build this 2800 stroker we've always talked about... I think that takes the cake over the Q4.

    14.60 @ 96.33 for now...

        How about you go spank his Q4 with a 2.4L EcoTec. Cheaper and easier to find and a crap load of parts for it. You can get a RWD drive train from a Solstice or Sky

        But a Hybrid 3.4L would make more horsepower and torque. The higher average torque of the V6 is what will win you a drag race. Hell I bet a hybrid 2.8L could make some damn good power too.
