That's right folks! Comp Cams is currently researching into making a performance cam for the 3x00s. From research I have done for this project (and posted in the 3x00 PERF area of the site), it looks as if this cam will fit all years of 3x00 (94+) by just swapping in the correct cam position sensor. The cam trigger has changed 2 times over the history of the 3x00 (2000 and then 2003), but as far as we have determined, no other changes have been made. You can follow the discussion here.

Ok, I goofed at first... it was supposed to be Comp Cams, not Crane. So I changed that in my previous post.
I have emailed my GM Powertrain contact about changes with the cams over the years. I am pretty sure I have it nailed down, but in order to make this new aftermarket cam truly universal, I want to make sure there aren't any other changes I couldn't find. But in case he can't (or doesn't) answer my questions, I may need to send some cams off to Comp. I currently have a 2000-02 model cam to send, but does anyone have a spare 94-99 cam they would be willing to ship either to me or Comp so they can compare them?

I have one I'd be willing to send.
Just out of curiosity, will this be a new blank, that is not an assembled unit like the factory one is?
I would really rather use a dedicated gen3 cam, instead of my previous plan of swapping to a gen1/2 custom grind roller, as long as the new cam has the right specs.
