    • They look great John! Really close to equal length, should perform great!

What color are you coating them? Silver/aluminum color would be cool. (black won't show them off as much)

hey now, be nice. don't forget that you also cut their time short and set a higher price. i remember the last beretta set being on sale for a while :P

doing great work. so glad to see someone who is finally in it for the better of the community and not just themselves. even though i know you have to try to makle a *little* money out of these.

        • I was surprised the L body sets sold out as fast as they did. Well I bought the first one, and expected the others to sit for a while while people saved up... The people with active project build ups recently had already obtained S&S headers, so I was wondering who else would be getting them.

          • I dunno if my set came out of the beta count... can't remember what my reason for getting them was, but I'm glad I did.

Maybe because you can't go wrong with headers?

              • Alan, even on a gen2 motor, they have to help a ton! Our manifolds really stink! I bet your car can keep up with or beat a stock 3100 car now. I've wanted headers on my car ever since I got it. Too bad I don't have the cash to put a set on both Berettas!!

                • Don't forget Alan also got the full mandrel-bent exhaust

Since he got the actual prototype headers, he got a great deal on the exhaust as well

Hell yes I did. Dunno if I said it or not yet but I'm sorry about the rush on them! Work was ready to kick my ass if I called a whole weekend off after a paid week's vacation

Issac, the headers do wonders, especially in the mid-range and higher on this engine, which is a damn good thing with the 3t40's gearing. Once I have the intakes on this thing and a chip it might be able to keep up with traffic!

Not sure if here would be the best place to post them, but have a second gear pull and some mindless revs.

                      • The gen2 needs help up top (due to the intake manifolds), so that's cool that it helped you in that area. I need to get a clip of my exhaust, I think my camera records low frequencies well and it doesn't get over loaded so I need to get some clips going for future comparisons.

                        • I'm happy with the exhaust, if that's what you mean, John. I looked around for a week trying to find an exhaust tip that'd look good, but turns out a pipe cut at an angle looks great!

                          • Alan, I said that because your headers are the prototypes and aren't quite as pretty is all I had to cut and re-weld yours, then adjusted the jig to compensate for the rest of the sets.

In fact, it was so tight back there, I had to modify the rear header and make the adjustments on the jig...

THEN when the rear was all in and was bolting everything back up, the sway bar hit the extension I put on the collector (2.5" ID to hook to exhaust) and had to cut that off with a die grinder/cut off wheel inside the pipe! But one I got back to the just the collector, welded a 90* on.

So the production headers will more than likely have a bend on the end of the collector that's too long, so you can cut off what you need and put a slip-coupler on to continue to the back of the car (or have an exhaust shop weld etc).
