  • 3100 V6 CC Performance

Hello again, I wanted to make another thread to get some more specific opinions.

I have a 1994 Olds Ciera with a 3100 "M" & a 1996 Olds Ciera with a 3100 "M" as well. I want to make some decent performance out of one of these motors and build it together with my little brother. So, for everyone reading, we don't want to turbocharge or supercharge it. Engine swaps are not an option, we want to use what we have. I don't think nitrous is out of the question, but I'd rather stay away from it and maybe add it later depending on how our build goes.

We'd like to build the car for either the circle track (dirt or paved) or the quarter mile. We haven't decided which we want to do yet. So, I'd like some input from everyone. We're going to completely go through one of the motors, prefereably the 1994 3100. I'd like to do as high lift as possible, tune the computer and delete as many emissions as possible, but I don't know where to start. I have browsed WOT-Tech's website, but again, I'm wanting to weigh all options and then see what we could get out of the car. All input appreciated!

have you done any modifications yet like an intake, exaust? I think for that year motor you might have to get your hands on a DHP tuner but I dont know how easy that would be considering they went out of business.. Seen someone on here selling one

DHP Tuner? I've never heard of that. As of current, the motor isn't running. I'm wanting to consider all my options, and a CAI is certainly on the list.

94 is not tuneable out of the box. Got to upgrade to OBDII or go to OBDI with trans controls such as an ECM from a 3.4 DOHC 4t60-e car.

My second car is a 96 model with a four speed. What transmission do I have and what makes OBD II so much more advantegeous over my 94 with OBDI?
