That's evil! The pic they show looks like the aluminum narrow body rockers but the description below says chromemoly . . . that is plain dirty.
The rockers in the pic look similar to the crane rockers and the scorpion 1.6 narrow body rockers look similar in almost every way except color. For the same money you can pick up a set of 16 narrow body rockers. Get the proper conversion studs and modify the Gen 2 pushrod guides to fit the 3500 heads and they will work. Too bad it would cost over $300 and in the end you have the same ratio rocker with the only difference being the roller tip and aluminum trunnions.

Yeah, I looked at those earlier myself, and even ordered a couple similar chromoly rockers to measure and test fit. They are all too wide, and I had to send them back. Ended up having to get a set of scorpion narrow body aluminum SBC rockers. Wanted chromoly for the strength because they can make the nose smaller so it would clear the bottoms of the LIM runners, but with the AL ones as the only option they are much thicker in height and the nose has to be modified to clear the runners.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

A couple years back I had gotten the scorpion 1.6 narrow body for some rebuilt Gen 2 heads I was going to use on my car. Then I ended up with a 3400. Now I'm ready to do a 3500 top swap to the 3400. I might go ahead and use the scorpions on the 3500 heads since I would only need the 8mm to 3/8" conversion studs and pushrods, but they aren't a massive upgrade over stock. If I didn't already have them I would probably spend the money on a cam since the engine is out. The higher ratio rockers really benefit the people who want more lift without going through the ordeal to swap the cam of an engine already running in a vehicle.

Yes, I ordered push rods (a couple sets now) from smith brothers push rods in Oregon and they asked about heat treating and guide plates. I actually had to order them a bit stronger than I needed because they only offered the heat treated chromoly with certain wall thickness in custom lengths. At least I don't need to worry about push rod strength.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

These are the ones I used. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scorp...4506.m20.l1116
The thing is, for them to work they have to be narrow body, 3/8" stud, non-self aligning SBC rockers. The only ones that fit that are from Comp Cams and Scorpion performance, and they only make 1.5 and 1.6 ratio. People here have been looking into this for a long time and if anyone had found some that worked, we would have posted about them already.Last edited by AaronGTR; 10-05-2009, 08:42 PM.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

Be certain to get the proper item number when ordering. I got my rockers from the same seller a while back. I got the set that was listed as part #1038. The box says 6038 but they are the same part. According to the link above they also sell a V6 version part #1088 but you may not be able to find it for cheaper than the #1038. It looks like that seller is out of them at the moment but they usually get more up pretty quickly from what I have seen in the past.

This set is the same part that I picked up. The pic is generic, my set looked like the one from Aaron's link.
