I expected this thread to explode considering the size of the thread for scorpion rockers.
I'm hitting the local pull-a-part for 3400 parts. Their just a bit new to find in there.sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:

Find out how many sets they have to make and what they are going to cost. In most cases they will require a minimum order to justify R&D costs. If they come back with something reasonable, let me know as I should have a junk set 3500 of heads, LIM, and valve covers.2000 Grand Am GT

ok guys, we have confirmed locating a spare head, LIM, and Valve cover. Funny part is, we're short rockers! So we still need 1-2, bolts, pedestals, and rockers for 3400/3500 still needed. Only 8 days remaining!sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:

and make sure to tell them that if they look at doing this for the new 3900 and 3500 that they are an entirely different rocker. nothing is the same except rudimentary design and the 8mm bolt.

then why does it say 3400 in the title? you do realize there are 2 diff 3500 engines and to make sure they do not get confused should be treated as such. the 3500 you speak of was only made for 3 years. i would do a little bit more research before diving in and making HS think you do not know what you are doing honestly.

This is a multi billion dollar company and I'm sure they have the tech books, tech support, and "underground" support, if you know what I mean, to get all the info they need for the 3400/3500 head design. They just want some test mules to test fit the rockers and ensure that the geometry and operation is correct. If you tell them all the stuff ppl are suggesting on here they are just going to say: "we are going to take care of it". They are professionals and I am sure they can look at a head and tell it has 2 different bolt/stud sizes so dont stress to much on them the design of these heads or they are going to think you are testing their knowledge...professional dont like that. Not a rant or anything Im just telling it how it is.sigpic

If they are adjustable full rollers then I doubt they would use the bolt used on the stock rockers. You should include a pair of the 8mm - 3/8" studs (or 10mm - 3/8" whichever fit the heads sent in) so in the end people can buy the rockers and get the studs to match their heads. They would probably be backward compatible with most 660's as long as the proper conversion stud is installed. That's how they did it for the crane rockers and can be done on the narrow body scorpion 1.6 rockers. I already bought the scorpions otherwise i would look into these ones being made. I hope this go at it works out!
