I think he's questioning the ratio. When I worked at summit racing, I've seen them go from 1.5:1 to 1.85:1 in .05:1 increments.

A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

oh ok didn't think of that but the ratio would work. just make sure the cam lift isn't too high.

i was looking to get some in 1.7 ratio but since the whole scorpion thing fell through i forgot about the whole idea for myself.

If you remeber a while back I was talking to harland sharp about a full roller set. They have no problem making them. $700-$1000 a set. But, they are considered custom and single run. They'll even make them for any ratio, but I'm not ready to commit to a set at that cost. And they don't see us as being enough of a nitch in the market to produce them.

yeah that's kinda steep for a set. i can justify 300-400 on the high side but not 700-1000 for that i'd just get a different cam

I'm pretty sure that comp cam does make some roller rockers that would work for the 3400 application and if some minimal moddy's are required it sure beats paying all that money for some roller rockers from that shop.......

I have a set of the Pro Mags for a small block Chevy / 90* V6 but they are too wide for my iron heads. They are for sale if anyone wants to try em out on their aluminum heads. Never been used and still in the original box.

                        Are they 1.6 or 1.7?

This is an old thread, and I know the issue is beat to death-I've embarassed myself on it once before, but if people were successful in making narrow body SBC RR work on 3x00, why not try 1.7 LT1 RR? There are many similarities between a late model SBC ('87-'01 centerbolt heads), and the '92-'97 LT1-especially in valvetrain where LT4 high-silicon springs and the longer 1.6 arms were a cheap upgrade to a TPI motor back when. Scorpion makes 1.7 LT1 rockers in AL (SPC1026), and Thunder Racing sells Comp Pro Mag 1.7 LT1 rockers in stainless (63-1117-16). Yes, no, maybe?

Figure out the trunnion width and it may just work.

What's wrong with the 3900 rockers? They are LS7 style, though smaller body.
