  • 3*00 timing gear drives?

ii there a timing gear drive avalible for the 60* motors. i know expecially 2000+ are vulnerable to chain stretch and there are a double and hopefully soon a single roller set avalible but any gear drives?

THIS ONES FOR A SBC BUT SAME IDEA.

Even if they had them, you don't want to use a gear drive with a vehicle equipped with a knock sensor - the damn things are so noisy, the knock sensor will constantly be detecting "knock". ECM will pull all timing.

No, there is not.. nor will there be. Just use the '99-older timing set or one of the double rollers from TCE.

The distance between the crank and cam is one issue on the 60 degree engines, The other is the previously mentioned noise problem with the knock sensors.

99 and older 3x00 chains are beefier but not bullet proof. A big cam /stronger springs will still wear it out.

The front casting walls of the 60* engine in the area where the "spider" transfer gears would be are not thick and strong enough to handle the kind of flexing and stress the Timing Gear Drive System would bring...
