  • New pushrods for head swap?

When swapping 3500 heads on to a 3400 are custom length pushrods required or are the dimensions close enough to the same that it wouldn't be required? I have 3400 and I can get 3500 top end stuff relatively cheap locally and I am looking at making a 3400/3500 hybrid for my swap instead of just the 3400 alone... I just don't want to screw it up...

I have skimmed the huge 3500 sticky thread and the similar threads presented to me when I started this thread didn't have that info either...

3100, 3400 and 3500 all use the same pushrods so no custom pushrods are needed for a head swap.

OOOooo... that makes me happy. Then my only real issue is that I have a 2000 3400, and the rockers studs are the wrong size for the 3500 correct?

So populated heads would be the way to go... hrmmm, that makes 'em more expensive.

              Thanks for the replies!
