  • Shorty Headers, just a thought

I was looking at the shorty headers used for conversions on the MG and it go me thinking.

I wonder if you could use those on a W-Body and if they would fit easier than the S&S headers do? To me, judging from the pictures, looks like it wouldn't be to hard to weld up a connection piece from the front based off the current one for the manifolds and then weld a down pipe on with a Y-pipe to connect the two, or even run it as a true dual exhaust. This way, at least for my car I wouldn't need to modify the firewall at all to get the headers to clear. What are your thoughts on this? Would it work?

according to forced_firebird(john) true duals on a 60* sound bad-ass.

Just ask Superdave. He is running true duals with Hooker Aerochambers on his 3500. I believe he has vids posted somewhere. Definitely BADASS.

I forgot to post the link to them, the website also has picture of them installed. If you go TCE's website as well they have picture of it. I believe TCE is makking them for the conversions. Here are the links:

I could probably route the exhaust line under the engine like they do with the 3500s now, I'll need to give it more though and talk to a exhaust shop.

Yeah what? I believe those are the ones TCE makes anyway so if they are foreign currency I don't see why they can't be ordered from them. Anyway I'll give it some thought I need to figure out my exhaust for this thing anyway.

Yes, True Duals really make the V6 scream.

It's also nice for troubleshooting, i can tell real quick what plug(s) have fowled.
