It doesn't matter what it does at startup, that's why there is timers to enable closed loop.

I've seen thousands of datalogs, o2 values go all over the place in open loop.

ok, before i started, i took ben's bin and made VE, fan, timing, etc adjustments. then i uploaded it and logged. next, uploaded ben's bin and logged, re-uploaded new bin and logged, and ended up leaving ben's bin in. the new bin eventually leaned out enough to kill the engine during both log sessions. ben's bin leaned out but not enough to cause an idle rpm drop. i still have yet to review these logs.

ben's bin is not really Ben's. it was just something i called it so i knew it was a changed bin way back when.

ok, in the last one, there were not a lot of rich/lean crossovers, and when they did happen, they happened in groups... and the BLM/INT doesn't move around a whole lot either, yet the o2 readings don't seem to be following a pattern

and what is your capture rate? 11/sec?

in the other logs, it never hits closed loop, can't do much about them.

do you consider it driveable? a log from that could help if its possible.

here's where i got the xdf from.

could that xdf be screwing with certain bin values? i have seen some weird values when i have tried other xdf's not for our 3.1 just out of curiosity.

once in closed loop, it runs great. i have logs of before this mess, and am, er was really happy with the tuning at that point. i also don't understand why it slowly runs leaner until it died.

do you mean in the bin, or during another log?

BIN, xdf doesn't affect the log at all, ADS will affect the log...

right, well, the a1 2 is real different pretty much all around. i like the neatness of the A1.

i'm thinking i'll put my old chip back in for a few times, even to see how the tune is again. i'm sure it's still rich.

appreciate the offer! i consider myself somewhat experienced with tuning, however, there is sooooo much i don't even have a clue about. it's also nice to have a fresh pair of eyes look things over.

use the one i have uploaded here: http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/tuning-faq-t102758.html

I know it works, nothing against Disco Stu but it's very easy to mess up the conversion factor and cause all kinds of problems.
