Hey guys Im currently looking at either building a hybrid 3400/3500 turbo or na engine. here is what mp performace priced the build to me at.
The cost on the build and all materials would be $5,250. This includes the following: Prepped 3400 Block and crankCustom Turbo Camshaft and pushrodsForged Pistons with Boost Rings65mm Billet Throttle BodyCompetition Ported 3400 Upper IntakeCompetition Ported 3500 Lower IntakeTiming SetPorted 3500 HeadsMain Bearingslifterscam bearingsRod BearingsrockersgasketsAssembly The motor will be good to rev to ~6500-7000 RPM and will easily handle 15psi which is more than what you plan to run compression on the motor will be roughly 9:1 which will make it work very well with boost as well as give decent MPG when not in boost. I know the price may seem high but this is because we have to supply everything... if you have any parts on hand like head/manifold cores or the 3400 block and or crank you plan to use let me know and I can adjust pricing as needed. The only parts not included in the build are the crank damper and and flywheel as these parts are not needed for the actual build since the motor is internally balanced and we will be performing a performance balance on the motor before assembly. The build will take approximately 2-3 business weeks to complete due to cleaning, machining, and painting of the engine block. Also the motor will need to be picked up unless you are able to arrange shipping. Please let me know if everything looks ok to you and if so I will send you an invoice for the build asap. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.
I could assemble it myself, but if the parts/porting cost close to the 5250, then i would rather them build it.
what do you guys think.
