The 3500 has a different routing for the front manifold, doesnt go over the tranny, so those headers probably will not work.

Friend is picking up his Maxx tommorow night, so i'll have to check it out.

It looks like the headers wouldn't fit unless you could use the CAI. Anyone agree (haven't gone thorugh all the pictures... slow dial up).
          It\'s ugly, and turbocharged!
264 HP and 284 ft/lbs at the wheels(@9psi), power curve like none other!
And the transaxle to get it to the ground!

there isnt much room on the drivers side of the engine bay. as the main electrical center and battery is all over there... if memory serves me right.. (been a while since ive seen a 3500/Malibu engine bay, am now since at a Pontiac Buick Cadillac Dealership and not the Chev Olds Caddy dealer i used to work at)

Then it's similar to the N-body? If so then he might luck out if there is a hole behind the driver's side headlight.

I'm already anticipating working on the G6 whenever GM gets around to releasing it...

I thought I read somewhere that the 3500 is totally new and it's using a forged crank and some variable valve timing mechinism that will advance and retard the cam on the fly. (Why I'm interested). Also, are the heads new, or the same as the 3400's? I doubt there is any in any of the bone yards yet so I suppose you'd have to get them new if your like me. Anyone have any good links about what this engine is all about??

it only goes to 160 KM per Hour.

just the way it is. ask GM.

The cam timing is on the 3.9L, not the 3.5L. The 3.5L looks very much like the 3400 so far...
