My wife just got a 04 Malibu Maxx with the 3500 v6. I am looking for some performance parts for it; mainly intake and exhaust. Anyone know where to find any? Or do I need to do the custom thing for these? Thanks!!

You are the first person (that I know of) to visit this site that has a 3500. There are a few parts from the 3100/3400 that I'm sure would work, or could be adapted quite easily. Depends on what you are looking for...-Brad-

The Malibu is used mainly for the "family truckster". Not looking for a loud buzz bomb exhaust, just more power. The intake I would prefer to be a CAI, but a good short ram would be good. Not too interested in any kind of underdrive pullies. Mainly looking for the basic bolt ons to start with. Do you know of any Malibu sites?

www.n-body.net (if they are still around)
I would venture to think that a standard N-body cold air intake would work for you, so look into places like APoC or (dare I say) RSM for those. I guess there is also Dr. Speed and probably a few others. Check out www.grandamgt.com for probably the most informative N-body specific info (even if its mainly GAGTs). You could also go with headers from either S&S or TOG for a 20hp to the wheels gain on a stock engine. I bet that would wake up a 3500 nicely.-Brad-

Considering that, it should be interesting the mods that'll eventually show up. I'm hoping it means that it might be easy to swap one of those turbo Saab motors or the AWD components from the G6 into the Malibu.
Anyways, let's hope at least one of the above vehicles gets popular, so that maybe someone starts coming out with easier to get, easier to find, cheaper parts for the 60° V6.

Just saying hi to a fellow Celica owner. I also have a 2000 Celica GT-S. I'm not coming up with much as far as performance parts. The whole platform may be just too new. I went through the same thing with my Celica. It will give me time to do things like stereo upgrades, window tinting, etc.

oh ya, I have a 95 cavalier convertible that now has a 3100 in it and im looking to make it ~200 HP.
My roomate has a 2002 celica gt.
And my other roomie, she has a matrix xrs.
Her and I have been modding that engine for a little while. There are some things I could probably help you out with when it comes time for you to want to do soemthing.
Shes running 194HP at the wheels now.
Shes wanting to get that turbo kit there is for it now. Apparently it will fit the celica gts with a little modification to make it fit under the hood.
But the computer is something you may want to look into. her car redlines at 8200 where as i think the gts' redline at??? 7800?
There is an article from 2000 that shows how the 2zz-fe produced 25 more HP at 500 RPM higher up, and that toyota wont let out how to change the codes in it. Ionno if there is truth to that though.
Back on topic however...
Id like to see someone find if the TB and intake manifolds and all that stuff is interchangable from the 3100/3400 with the 3500. Or if there is much of a difference b/w the 3400 parts and the 3500.
Cuz im sure id rather wait to get the parts from a 3500 instead of a 3400 or from RSM to make my little cavy move.
