Still planning on doing the swap though and pretty much set on the 3.4 now that ive done some reading. as of right now im planning on goin with the 3.4 with a comp cams kit a holley 4.3l tbi and tb spacer(and maching the i.m. of course) and headers possibly some edlebrock vlave covers and breathers. hopefully some type of forced induction. not sure though. im of course open to advice tips tricks and suggestions from you guys since i still dont kno as much as i want to about the 3.4s.....suggestions?..

I would suggest to you that you forget the Edelbrock valve covers. Chrome may be cool but the covers function worse than stock because they do not have baffles so the PCV system will pick up much more oil.

I would suggest they Fiero Valve Covers. They are cheep and can be finished in any colour of your choice. http://members.shaw.ca/betterthanyou.../gtvcovers.htm

Also If you want I have the parts for a 2.8L stroker (Which is just a crank actually but I will send you the rods too) which will net you a 3.2L after you do a .040" overbore. I also have a bored intake if you want to buy it. I will even get you a 4.3L throttle body with the correct modification and bolt it all up for you with a new gasket.

Its up to you really, rebuilding your motor, rebuilding a 3.4L or using the Crate engine will all end up about the same cost in the end.

IF you are going to turbo this motor do not use the TBI system. Ditch it in favor of SFI or MPFI and If I was going to go that far I would be swapping over to 3400 heads as well.

i forgot all about the fiero heads...ill definatly be getting those thanks a bunch for the info man. well im not sure what to do now..lol =/..id like to get the power from boost but the stuff you are willing to sell to me makes that rout extremely tempting. now if i do go with the 4.3 tb, intake, and stroker stuff from you, would i be able to use a t.b. spacer to get a little more or is that just asking for problems?...id also be interested in puttin in a beefier cam while the blocks apart

with a TBI unit and carbs, there is supposedly a gain to be had with spacers since it lengthens the intake runners.

assuming the bores in it are close to/perfectly match the TB and intake bores, you could see some gain, if not, don't bother or expect to open it up yourself to see any gain.

spacers on a MPFI/SFI setup is pointless unless you're using it as a type of adaptor, or using it to install a nitrous setup that way you don't scrap your intake/TB. that kind of thing, its fine.

ok so pickin up a spacer would be worth the potential gain.
