    i have a 1991 camaro with a 3.1l 6. it has distributor an a single coyle. im tryn to get some power adders but cant seem to fined any. im an old school typ of man that's delt with an made very big numbers with v8s. the vin letter is a t if any one can help me with this it would be very appreciated.an i was wondering if putting 2.8 heds on the 3.1 would giv it any more power? iv never delt with fuel injection b4 all was carbs. thalt id try something now.

    All of the iron heads from about 86 to 95 are the exact same, regardless if its a 2.8, 3.1 or 3.4 engine. So you aren't going to gain anything there. As far as power adders go, how deep into the engine do you want to go, and what is your budget like?

      well im wanting to go pretty far with it but right now iv only got 200 to 300 a month to work with. at the moment im looking 4 headers an just some odd an end stuff. i want to pool the hole engen but just dont have the time at the moment.

        Just how fast do you want to go in 1/4 mile times? A camaro isn't the lightest car and for a v6 it will take quit a bit. You won't feel much just adding odds and ends. If you want the best bang for the buck look into a turbo.

          Or you can be like everybody else and put a 350cid V8 in it. lol. Just kiddin.

              If I weren't just proving a point to my buddies I would have went with a LS1, wouldn't have costed me much more if any.

                depending on what you want to do, talk to ForcedFirebird. john is a very knowledgable guy, helped me picking out my turbo stuff(that i have yet to get around to doing)
                1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!
