Head Milling/Lower Intake

Looking for personal experiences with folks who have had thier heads milled down. I need to know what effect it had in the lower intake. About how much was taken off the intake to get the holes to line up again. For reference I am doing this to a 3.1l.

How much are you planning on milling that you think it'll offset the lower manifold that much? Not from experience, but I'd have to say if you mill the heads that much, I'd be more worried about the valves hitting the pistons than the manifold not lining up with the heads.
