Well just got her home, and found out its an LB6, not an L44, as i previously thought.

Montess, figured this would be a difficult part search, but i'll see what i can find.

Lilchief, that sounds like a nice motor, but after buying the car i don't have any cash banging around at the moment. At this point i'm planning on making this a summer project and buying parts when i can.

OK, well after putting up a posting on a-body.net (ive been a member there for a while), the guys there suggested a 3.4 RWD motor (93-95 f-body) with the iron heads and intake i already have, ported as best as possible. I'm not sure if that's the same setup as Lilcheif was offering? But it seems like i could get a 3.4 RWD short block, give it a good rebuild, good cam setup (ARI most likely), port the iron heads and intake i already have, 1.6 rockers, and somehow improve the TB, and see what she gets.

Its been mentioned that such an engine would possibly make 180hp? A stock 3.4 camaro makes 160hp/200 tq i believe, so it seem feasable. But i think this is the build i will go with, as it seems like a streetable budget build, and it will be an improvment for the ol STE. Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks!

Yeah, the starter will be on the wrong side, but there is a way to drill the block for the starter on the other side. As for the mounts, i've been told they should be ok, but not sure.

If you want to use a proven starter relocation jig instead of eyeballing it you could use the one that Rodney Dickmans sells. Fiero owners have been using it for years for doing F-body 3.4 swaps. I don't know if the LB6 has the HO heads but if not I would get a 3.4 long block and swap everything over.
