You need a hybrid kit to fit the lower gaskets to your heads and also have the upper gaskets for your new manifolds.

Or get the 98004T kit from rockauto and the upper gaskets, throttle body gasket and an EGR gasket for the 00+ manifold.

ROFL! how is felpro junk? Your plastic gaskets are junk with their pathetic metal tabs. The felpro set is the final revision all metal/rubber gasket.

Thank you, someone else said it before I did...

GM in their infinate wisdom had failing gaskets from 94-03 at least! wow almost 10 years before they decided to put a little metal tab in it... they must have the best chit around!

considering i do lower intakes every day at my job, and see how early those "revised" P.O.S gaskets fail, ill stick with original equipment. iirc, felpro doesnt make gm's gaskets, so how is their revision final?? gm's gaskets were failing due to IMPROPER torquing due to ignorant technicians/backyard mechanics, as well as neglect to the coolant system. those "revised" felpro gaskets' rubber likes to SPLIT around the coolant passages. EVERY one i have replaced was split. instead of reading about this stuff, i see it damn near EVERY day.

Your metal tab plastic gaskets fail in the exact same spot.

so if its torqued correctly, and has plastic tabs to prevent overtorque, let me ask you this, how is the gm one any worse? and u keep referring this as "my" gaskets? this is talking experience ben. not 10-15 intakes, hundreds.

Ok, so you don't know how those "hundred" of felpro metal/rubber gaskets were installed.

What is the difference between the stock 94-02ish gaskets that fail without the metal tabs and the GM revised gaskets with metal tab?

older 92-02 factory gaskets' lim bolts didnt have blue loctite on them. newer WITH metal tabs come with new lim bolts in the kit with the loctite on them, preventing them backing out. lots of factory gaskets fail over time cuz the bolts back out. ok, so not hundreds of felpros ( i was talking total lims in bout year and a half), ive done bout 20-25 in the past 6 months with the newer gaskets (felpro).
