  • *new* HEI distributor??

    i looked at alot of threads and i cant find any info on an hei for a 60* v6

    this is what i have, 86 camaro with early alumnium intake with a weber 38DGES carb, i do not have a computer and the dist i have went with the mpfi intake... need help i have heard there was an hei but i cant find any info. PLZ HELP

    it's not a HEI but it's a non computor control distributor
    01 olds shilluette 3400/4T65-E stock for now

      You can go to your local Auto Zone and pick up a distributor for a CANADIAN 82-85 Camaro, that distributor has vacuum advance and does not need to be computer controlled. It is also a hell of a lot cheaper than the Mallory piece, just remember that it is a stock unit. When I bought mine I think it was about $100 bucks or so.

        Agreed any Distributor for an 82 to 85 S-10 or Camaro will work. Make sure it is a Non California Emissions vehicle and it will have a vacuum/mechanical advance system. They are all HEI distributors but they ones in RWD applications use a remote mount coil for firewall clearance.
