I currently have a 3.4 SFI engine with a Schenider Racing cam (I don't remember the specs right now, but it's close to stock). The cam does not have a lobe for the cam sensor, so I am thinking this is making my jeep run very rich. I am not getting great gas mileage, my tail pipe is black, and I am have hesitation above 50% throttle. So I am thinking about switching to a cam that has a lobe for the cam sensor so the SFI will be effective. This is the cam I am thinking about switching to. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...4&autoview=sku
Now my question is will I need new lifters with the cam? I am save a bunch of money by re using my Comp lifters that only have about 2K miles on them. I need to know if this would be a good option since they are close to new or if I would need to go with a new set of lifters as well. Everything else is stock except that I have GM performance Valve springs as well.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
