  • 3400 intake on a 3100

    Sorry if this has been asked before will the upper and lower intake on the 3400 motors fit the 3100 engine? I have a 94 buick century and i would like to do the intake swap to make my daily driver have a little more pep

    Yes but you need to use the LIM gaskets for the 94 3100 though.


    Your best bet would be the 3400 LIM and a 3500 UIM if you don't want to pull the heads off.. If you don't mind the extra work then the 3400 heads flow better and you'll pick up a few more HP that way.


    You do have the issue of that weird MAF setup, and nobody (that i know of) has a bin definition for the $1F OBD1 chip that your car has. I say this because tuning would help you get alot more out of it but your options are limited untill someone takes the time to work on that file. It should run ok without the tuning though, just make sure to use your old injectors and the FPR that's on the fuel rail now.

      Thank you for the quick reply I'll start looking into getting the parts im going to stick with my current heads just had a head gasket job in November. Just to make sure i have to use my stock injectors and reg. Again Thank you for the fast reply
