  • 3.4 to 3400 Top Swap help

    Its for my 95 OBD 1.5 Camaro cant use 3500 top and my tuning options are slim. I want it to be a badass motor what i need help on is the build. so its my DD but i want it faster. if money wasn't an issue what parts and specs would you use.
    Input what specs and why.i have never built a motor when i have all the parts im dropping it off @ the shop. the shop usually just does LS1s but he said if i got the parts he would put it together for me
    if someone makes custom rods/cam/piston ect list it with better specs i'll pay for quality i figure i might as well get the best while its apart.

    Jet2 (i got it with a turbo kit)
    but i was thinking Mega Squirt

    Fuel Rails
    3400 Stock

    Injectors
    3400 Stock

    UIM
    3400 Stock

    Gaskets
    Metal Intake Gaskets GM

    Pistons
    ???(saw some in another thread but have no idea what to get)

    Rods

    Heads
    ????

    Lifters
    ???

    Rockers
    ???(saw some in another thread but have no idea what to get)

    Valve Springs
    ???

    Camshaft
    ????

    any other parts im missing

    (i do have a turbo BoV wastegate and stuff in my trunk but i think N/A would be better .. if u got any ideas for a turbo build that would be great also mabe we can get a "Best Of " and make it a sticky

      Stock with ARP rod bolts will do just fine for NA

      Flat tappet...don't know.

      Stock until Scorpion Rollers are released

      Valve Springs
      Depends on cam

      Camshaft
      Something meant for high compression, so fairly large. Raise idle some and its good for a daily.

      A "best of" list is only useful for each application. The above may be totally wrong for what you really want, but its what I would do with your car in a daily driver with your bottom end. Also, NA doesn't require the best of everything. You can have rods made and go forged pistons but its just a waste of money when we know stock holds up just fine with ARP hardware on the rods.
