  • 3500 vvt's pretty durable

so last week at work a 2009 g6 came in with about 10k on it. 3 fuel injectors were stuck open and bled down into the intake ports and when the person went to crank it back fired and tossed 2 rods right through the oil pan. but the funny thing is: it actually ran and drove decent! i drove it into the shop no problem with 2 rods sticking out the oil pan. excuse the cell phone quality photos.

it was hydrolocked. i had to dry out the cylinders in the parking lot (didnt care it was NICE out). 1,3,5, injector circuit in the pcm was shorted and they sprayed until the battery died. the oil was FILLED with gas lol, it was all over the parking lot when it fired up and pulled it in lol

Do you get to tear it apart? I would like to see the rest of those rods.

its just the dark casting of the cast aluminum pan. yeah white floors, its a 3 year old dealership. chev, buick, pontiac, cadillac, gmc etc. its nice since the shop light reflects, but its a BITCH to clean when its dirty lol. i didnt have any time (flat rate technicain, i get paid for jobs)to tear it down, i was curious too, and i just put it back in the crate the new engine came in (core).
