i believe the only vehicle that got the 3100 in 93 was the cutlass supreme and only the later ones produced that year got them, as the LH0 was put in the earlier ones...
94 almost everything that had a 3.1 now had a 3100 and in 95 they were completely extinct.........
i think thats an accurate decription of the 3.1->3100 update
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

Yes, that is basically it. Cutlass Supreme got it in 93, and the Lumina and Sunbird/Cavalier kept the 3.1 in 94.

sorry for going off topic off what you guys are getting at but i would like to know something else. lets say i do get through and do a top end swap. would i be able to get a p&p done without worrying about going over the bore of the cylinder walls? or would i have to bore those out to make it worth getting a port and polish? hopefully i didnt write that confusing. and there's no need to bring up the moeny issue, as this will be a looonnngg term project. hopefully something i can work on slowly through this summer after high school and through college.

Port and polish will not require any boring of the cylinders. The only heads that will be oversized for the 3100 bore is the 3500 heads, but even overboring the cylinders won't correct that issue.
