          Made them less of a "bump" and smoothed them, raised the roof a little after the port entrance, sharpened the port dividers, smoothed the short side from the almost 90* bend right at the valve, and smoothed out the lumpy bowls.

          I'll have to say the sand casting back then were extremely poor.

          Ben, I'll be happy with 140-150cfm but you will be the first to know when I send one to you

              Naw actually I'm doing a repeat job and sending one to Ben. Don't expect it too soon, I have a few things that need done 1st. Anything is better than 127cfm

                I just finished doing the same work. The exhaust valve bowls on the end 2 ports hand nasty steps in them. I smoothed every thing out and gasket matched the ports. If you have an intake, take a tape measure to the ports. My TBI intake runners are 3/16" shorter in height than the ports in the head. So when I get the engine back from the machine shop I will do some serious port matching on the intake.
