As some of you know, Im in the midst of a hardcore 3500 build-up. The turbo Im using is capable of 550 rwhp.
(before I continue, some dimen. modifications and parts for the gear heads)
Block "bored over" .020" (from 3.70 to 3.720-3.722)
total de-stroke .128" (from 3.31 to 3.192)
crank pin diam. 2.100 (uses LJ sbc con-rods)
connecting rod 5.850 (original 5.900)
comp hiegth 1.4600
piston to deck +.030"
head-gasket thk .070"-.071" crushed (annealed copper style)
CR 9.6:1 apprx.
3500 steel crank reground, destroked knife-edged and lightened
(attempting to install oil-squirters on all cyl, dont know if it will work)
3900 oil-pump (that is, if it fits)
total displacement- (207 C.U.) true 3.4l
Parts list
port 3500 intake plenum & LIM
ported LX9 heads with "Manley" ss valves and comp cams #122 springs and steel retainers)
Wottech 65mm TB w/ adapter
forged "Wiesco" pistons
Eagle 5.850 "ESP" H-beam rods (bushed) .927 piston pin & .225 crnk-pin bore
s-256 compressor, t-3 stainless housing w/ .69 A.R. & p-trim wheel
JAZ 50mm ss WG
Synchronic BOV
Snow per. meth inj
ARP main and head studs
fiero "stock" iron flywheel (used to have a 7lb fidanza aluminum flywheel. need the extra inertia for hard launching)
Megasquirt 3.57 board w/ MS2 proc. (configured for DIS, on-board boost control, e-85 sensor input for map-switching, anti-lag) running MS2nE code
#65 Low-z injectors
(Final Combo built for 7540rpm max shift-point w/ absolute 8000rpm red-line)
TKO-600 5-speed tranny
Mosure 12-bolt rear-end w/ 3.42 gears and all the "fixins"
The question is, will this motor survive the rated 550hp at the tires without stretching mains or studs.
Id love some feedback.
