I was told by a guy at the track last season that thier is a trick you can do with the map sensor that will increase your timing and fuel delivery with out confusing the computer? Is this guy on crack, because even with my decent amount of knowledge of cars, I can not figure out what he was talking about.Just would like to know for sure if thier is a free way to increase power.Hope you don't think I sound out of it?

Your guy is on crack. Basically the trick involves modifiing the output map signal, in relation to throttle %, by increasing it to a higher value than what the engine is really running. Thus it may add more fuel and timing, but it's all dependant on the current VE and timing tables in the PCM. Which do not add fuel and timing at the same time when MAP increases.

Jet used to offer a module that did this very trick. But it's as useful as a flaming bag of dog crap.

Well I guess that solves that! So I guess your the guy to ask,is there anyway I can tune this 96 obd 2 in my ciera? I was told I would have to change the pcm in order to tune it? I really think tune this thing would make worlds of difference.

I don't think so. DHP would of done it about 3 years ago. But they are now gone and HPT doesn't even list it. Switching the PCM is your only option.
