Need more info than just a Comp Cam... specs?

I'd guess you are adding maybe 20hp... Given a stock 2.8 makes ~130hp at the crank, I'll be kind and say you're probably at ~155hp at the crank. After driveline loss (~15%), I'd say you are looking at around ~130hp to the wheels.

Yea thats the standard Comp cam of choice. What is your compression ratio with those pistons?

Hahhahahahahah....in their dreams - or did you mean to type 2-3 BHP instead of 23..?

The stock throttle body shows no restriction on a 2.8, so you won't gain anything there. The head and intake mods are worthwhile, but won't eliminate some serous bottlenecks in the upper intake.

Best bet would have been to convert using a 3.1 crank and pistons - a very useful bump in torque, but I guess you are past that point now.

i beg to differ. the larger 4.3 tb significantly bolstered the powerband, especially the low end throttle response. port n polishing the heads WILL greatly improve the powerband if done correctly. at the very least get a bowl blend, that alone increases flow roughly 30 cfm on the intake/exhaust. if you have a few bucks to burn, the heads to the machine shop and tell them what you want. it take roughly 3 hours for a bowl blend @ whatever their shop rate is.

And if you reread what I wrote you'll find that is also what I said.
