But um about that last post, maybe I am an idiot but huh? I just don't get it. Sorry to be a newb.
the chra is the turbos center section, it houses the bearings and the thrust bearing. when i installed my new turbo it had no play at all and spun freely.
but after 5 mins on the car and idling it now dosenot spin as freely, it could be nothing, or i could have goten debri inside the scentersection form the machine work i had to do to it.
so my friend hooked me up with a rebuilt center section incase mine somehow got damaged

its deff getitng oil i pulled the feed line to verify that. its wierd when i shut the motor off and if i spin the blades by hand after a few seconds they free up.
but soon as i start the motor it does the same thing, it may be to much oil my motor makes 60-80psi of oil presure at idle, so i may try a restrictor and see what happens but i shouldnt need one, since im only using a -3 feed line.
first thing int he morning im gonna pop off the compressor and turbine housings and see if i see anything wrong, if not i will take the wheels apart and inspect the chra to see if there is debri or anything inside, and if i have to i will just replace the chra witht he rebuilt one i just got
any wich way ill have it back up and running tommorow, worst case senario is i put the 67mm turbo back on and swap the .82 housing off the 60-1 onto the 67

well got the turbo back on it didnt need anything it was some carbon that broke lose and lifted the heat sheild in the turbine side. it was rubbing the back of the turbine wheel.
anyways we get the car fully buttoned back up when i notice it has liek no water in it.
start pouring water in and just as fast as i dump it in the radiator, it pouring out of the block behind the flexplate.
so one of 2 things happened,
#1 its only a freeze plug
#2 i broke the block already
motor runs fine no noise out of it,so im really thinking freeze plug.
problem is i have a car tied up on the lift at the shop and wont have the parts for it till next week.
right now im waiting to hear back from another friend to see if he will come tow my car to his house so i can use his lift and pull the trans out and see what is busted.
if its a freeze plug i will replace it, if the block is broke i have a spare block and well end up pulling and engine rebuild tongiht,depending on if i can get a gasket set or not
ill update this once i know a lil more but im doing everythign i can to make sure i get to the dyno on saturday

friend just called me back, hes got his car on his lift to change out the tail shaft and speedo gear on his trans but once hes done were more then likley gonna goto my shop pick up my car and take it back to his house and drop the trans out of it and see whats wrong

ill have the trans out of the car sometime tongiht so not all hope is lost yet, im just praying the water int he ex system was water that ran down into the open header flanger,and or condesation
btw there is no water int he oil so that is a good sign i think, im asumming that if the water got in the cyl even just enough to come out the ex system it would be enough to make it into the pan

ahh man im hopeing its the freeze plug. I think 450-500 hp should be an easy target tho with pump gas and the meth injection. Im glad to see that turbo spin up

yeah i was really relived when i tok the turbo apart and found the heat shield was rubbing the turbine wheel. saved me from paying for a new chra
the more i think about it if the block is broke i may just sell off the headers heads and cam/downpipe as a package, and install the fully forged 355 sbc i have sitting in storage and just get another 60-1 turbo and use them as twins on it
but ill cross that road later tongiht when i see just what the damage is

the other vid from today
put the car against the converter on the footbrake to see how fast this turbo would spool.
made 3 psi on the footbrake with out even trying to hard.
