    I have a 2000 GA GT

First off what are some good performance mods to do to this car I've only owned mustangs in the past... what are some good sites to get parts from?

Secondly, when i got the car i it would overheat so I babied it home and I had to change the ignition switch and now it won't stay running....engine starts for 2 seconds then feels like the injectors quit....is this the Passlock???and is there any way to disable it?

and if there is no way to disable it about how much does it cost get this fixed?

well you changed the igniton switch, which likely you'll need to calibrate the Passkey theft deterrent system. That's what's killing your car after trying to start it. Does your ignition key have a black pellet embedded in the metal part of the key? I can't remember which system the N-body got for that year. Let me know what you have and I'll find the calibration procedure. Usually it involved inserting the key, switching to "On" (with engine off) and letting it sit until the "Security" light on the dash flashes (usually 10 minutes)... Some other systems calibrate differently.

Ok... that 3-wire sensor is likely for the key-in chime reminder. I looked for Grand Am keys on ebay and the '00 comes up with non-chipped models. Actually, have you ever seen an orange "Security" light come on the dashboard, even momentarily when first starting the car? That would tell for sure.

If that all checks out, then you'd need to check for possible fuel and spark problems.

Usually it involved inserting the key, switching to "On" (with engine off) and letting it sit until the "Security" light on the dash flashes (usually 10 minutes). Did you try this it normaly works for this eara car.

The engine can handle around 300 hp in stock form as long as the tune is good. The trans is a whole different deal.
Lots of mods cost lots of $$

Bone stock or would you put stiffer springs in and some ARP rod bolts first? Bone stock 300 is no problem but RPM potential is limited by the stock valve springs. Keep it around 5500 max and you should be fine. Stock cam is good for that anyway.

50 trim what? Injectors need to be upgraded but you should know all that stuff that needs to be done to keep the engine happy with the extra air.

Should be fine with that turbo.

You can make enough power to blow up the transmission.
