k1technologies makes some good rods aswell

there cheaper, and high quality, 350 bucks for a set of hbeam rods that they say are just as strong if not stronger than eagles (for SBC 327 rods)

214/224 @.050, 288/298 adv, lsa 112. This is basicly a truck cam. Small long intake runners equal big torque. 6" rods fatten the torque curve.

Thats a pretty wicked cam. Not something I am willing to run. It would not even pass emission. So if you got 6" rods in your engine with a 3.1/3.4 crank then what did you have to do for pistons? What were the costs like?

The pistons are Ross custom forged nitrous. Think they were $65 each and the rods about the same. This was 8 years ago. I've been working on this about 12 years, the whole car (85 Fiero GT). Latest addition was a 4T60 and now getting 30 mpg highway. If I had it to do over think I'd do a 3500 or 3900

I have a ton of 5.9" rods to for the 3500 crank (30 to be exact lol) and a 3500 crank if you want to experiment.

I can do $100 plus shipping. I shipped one to Ontario and it was about $60 IIRC, but you are a little further away.

yeah I know. I felt bad that you did all that machining and bought the new engine when I had a shortblock sitting here the whole time. The buyer backed out of the full 3500 swap in his Camaro and is going hybrid instead.
