    Yes but all those days where you have to drive around with 98 or 100 octane fuel I can take my car out for a fun road trip and run it on 87 the whole time and save money there.

    I am currently at 9.15:1 compression and I don't need a higher octane, boosted you need it all the time since the boost is there all the time.

    Each have their good's and their bad's and I think I will love my nitrous on my car... It does do a 13.9 now n/a

    WITH A 4T60E AUTO :P LOL I love rubbing that in.

    Low compression, large cam, headers, intakes, porting and I ended up with actually a very streatable vehicle... I average around 22mpg on this car and thats not driving like a grandma all the time either.

      Dropping in a whole 3400 won't give him a big gain since he already has the newer style heads and manifolds. Not sure if his tb is 56mm or 52mm.

      And since when is a 3400 swap a simple mod that will give just a little hp that he is asking for?.......

        hey id prefer taking the engine out and swapping in a new one as opposed to some of the other stuff, besides a cam would necessitate it anyway unless he can try it through the wheel well...and yah i accidentally skipped over that NO2 part

        he may have newer manis and heads, but thats just like saying keep a 3.5vvt instead of the 3.9 vvt...they have the same heads and manis also...why not go with a larger engine to start with?

          Sure, i'd prefer taking out the engine too. But that's another thread. ::HINT:: read thread title ::HINT::

            since when do you have to run 98-100 octane to have boost? there's a guy on v6 with a 3.1, running 6psi on 87 octane, getting like 24mpg.... all you gotta do is know how to tune. you can run 8-10psi on 91/93 all day long if you can tune it well enough. either way it doesn't matter so much, a turbo isn't that simple... lol. just trying to reason with cost-effectiveness. nothing wrong with nitrous in my opinion

            BTW: If i had your motor in my car i could probably do mid-13's or better

            Cammed 3400 --> 224whp 210wtq
            Cammed 3500 --> ???

              well its not very hard, prob easier than a cam install, it is relatively bolt in, plus everyone else is throwing manifolds/heads/cam in there...just start with a new piece, build it outside the car and put it in, then get the MP racing tune and all that other good stuff...cam is by far not a bolt on, and headers get a little invovled, esp with broken bolts and rusted ones to start with
