What are you trying to accomplish? You should never remove any more than it takes to make the head flat. It should only take a few thousandths. If its worse then scrap the head. The more you mill the more you screw up the head stiffness and the intake alignment. If you go more than .010 expect to have the intake manifold mating surfaces machined as well which just adds to the expense and complexity. You also thin out the deck on the head which makes it more prone to warping and flex when it is bolted to the block and when it heats up. Now none of this will be a concern as long as you just clean it up. But if you taking off a lot of meat to try and increase compression then you can start to increase the likelyhood of a problem.
