  • won't idle with 272 cam

Any ideas on this tune? For some reason the knock count just climb and start over.I have checked the wire and the sensor is new. The int also starts climbing when the rpm's drops to about 1700.

It's knocking like crazy but not pulling timing... weird

can you physically hear it knocking? is it the correct knock sensor for the engine/ecm?

It's hard to tell why it won't idle, it only enters cell 0 for a split second. If it dies as soon as you let off the gas, try adjusting the idle screw on the TB a little.

With a larger cam you may need to find the value " MAP below which can become idle fuel" and raise that up a little..

Adjusting the idle screw doesn't help it will die as soon as you let off the gas but if you slowly let off when it gets below 2000 rpms its like you stuck your hand over the tb and are smouthering it. here is my last datalogs I noticed that the rich/lean cross is also counting up and starting over is that correct? The knock count is still counting up its the one for the car actually when I started datalogging it it wasn't doing that. I also went back to the older bin to make sure I hadn't messed something up but it also does it if I get it running i'll run w/o it. after the starter cools off i'm going to give it a vacuum leak and see what that does.
