  • yes, that is def too much to worry about, that is why these will be bolt on repalcements, no modification or prior parts required. this way you wont need to worry about anything else, and itll come with bolts as well...
that is the reason why i want it done like this, because i dont like guide plates and i dont like having to use them as the only option...plus you dont have to clearance the LIM or the rocker to make them work

    • Are any of the performance driveline companies jumping on the bandwagon as well? I ask because driveline components for our cars are not cheap, nor are they easy to come by (things like LSD's). I can't believe how easy it was for my truck to get into something like this. Here is a pic of my differential for my Ranger:

All looks fine until you check it from the side:

That is where my carrier bearing grenaded and ate up the differential carrier where it is pressed on. Here is what replaced my old 3.45 open differential:

That is a 3.73 ratio limited slip. I bought the whole axle for less then $200 from a junk yard, and this was a stock axle to boot!

So I ask again, is there any chance that other bigger companies are going to get into the 60v6 world through the help of SD? I mean, yeah, engine parts coming is an awesome step, but why not driveline components too?

      • there might be one company that we are talking to that may be interested...but thats the prob. no one wants to work on FWD stuff. it gets expensive, there are no aftermarket castings/offerings. everything would either have to be adapted, special made, or they would have to actually get off their collective butts and grab parts and see if they fit. I think that Jeff from EP could make a descent buck if he just sold his design to a company and let them do the rest. that way he would have more time with his family, and his job

        • so we're looking at the middle of december or so before we get a possible price or date on these? just confirming...

Man, all these things going on in the 60*v6 world are making me anxious. I'm so tempted to pick up a 3500, or maybe just build a 3400 with a 3500 top end... port work, 1.7:1 rockers, a big cam, double roller timing chain, headers, fully balanced.... then add 10psi

                      • My BerettaStuff calendar says it's January 8th.

                        Any word on these yet?

I have all this money burning a hole in my pocket, and my phone vibrating in the other one.

The sensation is somewhat interesting yet confusing, and I think I need to change my Depends.

                        Thanx
