there might be one company that we are talking to that may be interested...but thats the prob. no one wants to work on FWD stuff. it gets expensive, there are no aftermarket castings/offerings. everything would either have to be adapted, special made, or they would have to actually get off their collective butts and grab parts and see if they fit. I think that Jeff from EP could make a descent buck if he just sold his design to a company and let them do the rest. that way he would have more time with his family, and his job

Are any of the performance driveline companies jumping on the bandwagon as well? I ask because driveline components for our cars are not cheap, nor are they easy to come by (things like LSD's). I can't believe how easy it was for my truck to get into something like this. Here is a pic of my differential for my Ranger:
All looks fine until you check it from the side:
That is where my carrier bearing grenaded and ate up the differential carrier where it is pressed on. Here is what replaced my old 3.45 open differential:
That is a 3.73 ratio limited slip. I bought the whole axle for less then $200 from a junk yard, and this was a stock axle to boot!
So I ask again, is there any chance that other bigger companies are going to get into the 60v6 world through the help of SD? I mean, yeah, engine parts coming is an awesome step, but why not driveline components too?

yes, that is def too much to worry about, that is why these will be bolt on repalcements, no modification or prior parts required. this way you wont need to worry about anything else, and itll come with bolts as well...
that is the reason why i want it done like this, because i dont like guide plates and i dont like having to use them as the only option...plus you dont have to clearance the LIM or the rocker to make them work

You don't stock a kit, you stock them as rocker replacements, and the requirement is you need stock roller rockers to get the pedestals to put them on... in other words they wont be sold as a full set, you need to source your own stock rollers to get the pedestals... BUT 90% of the crowd that probably wants these already have these pedestals since they already have the roller rockers.
It could be listed as a 97+ upgrade for engines equipped with roller rockers since stock parts from those are needed for installation.
Also if they do the whole thing then they need to do the whole thing with the notch... You make it hard to find pedestals, but just think if they opt out the notch then you need to source pushrod guides... Same situation for finding parts... Granted you can probably buy guides alone but now the pedestal will have to be shorter to work with the guide, and all us guys that already got pushrods will now need hardened ones.Last edited by 3400-95-Modified; 10-27-2008, 11:09 AM.

scorpion either does the whole thing or not at all to them. we could use the stock pedestal...but where the hell would you come up with that many pedestals? i mean to keep as stocking kits. idk

He meant to sell with them. It would be nice to have them drop in, but if we need to pull the pedestals off the stockers, that shouldn't be too bad either really.

However I won't be there until the 6th or even the 7th so I doubt I get a crack at being first.
But I would like to check these guys out and have a chat with them.
Also the tabs would be a great bonus if at all possible.

Might be tempting if they prove to be worth while on my cam and if I can build a transmission to hold the power

I suppose guide plates from an early 3100 and the hardened pushrods from the same motor would work without the notches, but kind of defeats the purpose of direct replacements.

why not just make them the same way the stock ones are with the little tab that fits in the head.
