new to the forums,i have an '03 aztec with versatrak,my question is are there any performance upgrades i can do to the stock 3400 or can something else be swapped in place that could be bolted up to the stock tranny?

Yea you cold upgrade it fairly easily to a 3500. What are your goals what do you do with the thing?

for only 15 hp and 5 lb. ft. of torque i don't think a 3500 would be a practical swap.unless it's more upgradeable?

swap the heads and lower intake on your motor. more power and more gas milage. How much more power do you want? I have a lot of parts for the 3400 at wot-tech.com.

yah i would say ONLY heads if you want them then intakes, because taking that engine out of the minivan...major PITA...

actually i was curious to see if it can be supercharged i figured that'd give it enough power,if not than maybe more, figured i should be able to get atleast 250 hp instead of 185

good luck on the sc...there wree only about 18 sc kits made for the 3400 and they were all for fwd cars...meaning alot more underhood room. also they are all taken right now, and that is pretty much it on the sc kits. if you are really serious about power, then its just like anything else...heads, cam, intake(s) tuning, transmission tuning, exhaust. with the exhaust, im not sure anyone makes one for the aztec...but i can look for you at pontiac or gm perf parts. otherwise you are looking at getting an exhaust shop to do it for you, and get a good quality muffler then...id say magnaflow would be nice

It was actually Magnuson who made it, using an Eaton blower.

because they were made for GM when they were going to do the project SC/T for the grand am...SuperCharged/Touring package with the addition of the SCT Ram Air Hood that IS still available and the Different SCT Spoiler which is also, along with a lower chin spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper spoiler. But the project lost interest at GM and they canned it, with eaton/mag still having made the kits. It is a really impressive car, search for it on here, or on google, its really nice.
