  • WB02 AFR readings

Well today I finially got a chance to hook up our WB02 to my car, to see where I was in terms of AFR with the 3400.

In open loop at idle, im reading ~13.5AFR.
In closed loop at idle, im reading ~14.4-15.0AFR.
at crusing speed, Im reading ~14.4-15.0AFR
and the big one, at about 5300RPM, im reading ~12.4AFR. ( didnt go WOT here, but was very cose )

With this cam, and port and polish, the engine never ran lean.

So I think this proves that this cam can be run on any OBD1.5 3100/3400swapped car. I just need to get a 65mm TB, and then Ill be set!

ohh, and when going WOT, first gear is useless.

    What cam was it again?

Just cause you don't ever go lean though doesn't mean you won't get more power if it was tuned. You likely have variations throughout the ranges. But it's good to know your engine isn't going lean and blowing up.

You could swap to the same FDR as the L bodies... Then 1st gear would wind out longer, help with traction, and MPG.

http://wot-tech.com/images/Cam/CamSpecs.htm Page is down... Is that the stage1?

Well I stepped into it alot during the time that we were looking at it, and it seems like it was a smooth curve. There didnt seem to be any spikes anywhere. Although Im sure I could get more power of it was tuned, but still its got plently of balls.

As for the tranny, I dont wanna mess with it until it blows. Then Ill get a built one that I can abuse.

and yeah thats the stage 1 cam from the WOT-tech store.

Stage two is same specs just more lift IIRC. I wonder if the stock ECM could handle that as well.

A Datalog of it would be nice.. that way you can see the AFR VS RPM.. you also see all the true values.

the WBo2 Display can only show numbers so fast, mine stays around a 12.4 AFR at WOT but the datalogs show differently.. it bounces between 11.9 and 12.6.

Sounds like the tune is close enough though..

I have teh def if you want to log what the computer is showing. But won't do the WB though of course. You'll need an ALDL cable.
