It's the same width as the 3.4/2.8/3.1 :P

No competition unless there's boost involved :P

Actually I'm glad to see others make the leap.

923.4, mind sharing your cam profile?

That 70mm TB might be a tad big, many people have complained of bogging off the line with anything more than a 65mm.

just running stock cam untill I get it lined out and tuned. Wish I went with the 65mm you all been talking about but to late know. Maybe since I'll have a 5speed it wont hurt to bad.

Not too late Even if you ported the mani to 70mm, 65mm should work fine.

Yeah you're going to have some tuning on your hands lol. The stock cam isn't going to let out any of that high compression.

What head gaskets did you use? I went with the 3500 gaskets for two reasons. One is that they came with the nice gasket set for the 3500 from GM, and i didn't trust the .0305' quench the 3.4 gaskets give coupled with a big/long duration cam after seeing Dave's carnage - even though the tight quench would help detonation issues with the high CR.

using 3400 head gaskets, since I already have the 70mm tb adapter plate and tb I'll give it a try I have ported the mani to 70 also. I will be looking for a stock bin file for the ostrich 2.0 shortly if you have something. Detonation is why my last 3.4/3400 only lasted 4-5 hours, lol.
