I have a 97 cavalier in the middle of a 3400 swap. I got the engine out of a yard with 36k miles on it. While I have it all tore down (to inspect it) I decided to do a little performance upgrade. I've already p&p dand gasket matched the head as well as the upper and lower intake.
So far I'm thinking:
P&P heads and maniflods
Stage 3 cam w/ comp springs 26915-12
new replacement valve seals
crank scraper
homemade headers to a full 3" exhaust
HPT to tune with
It's been suggested that I get a bigger tb and 3500 upper.
Anything else? Suggestions/ comments/ criticisms?
I'm thinking about going rear mount turbo later on. Will any of these mods become useless? What am I forgetting?
